Nick Wu, a Taiwan-born designer and creative, has a multifaceted background growing up in NY. From a young age, he has been captivated by the world of art and design. Despite the language barrier he encountered upon immigrating to the United States at the age of 11, Nick managed to connect with his peers through the medium of visual art, which he continued to pursue throughout his high school years.

In 2005, Nick enrolled at Purchase College, SUNY, where he quickly discovered his passion for craft and furniture making. This realization paved the way for his journey into the realm of design-build, with a specific focus on meticulously crafted furniture, products, and interior design. Seeking to further his knowledge and skills, Nick embarked on the next chapter of his educational journey in 2018, pursuing a Master of Architecture at the prestigious Spitzer School of Architecture at City College of New York.

Throughout this academic pursuit, Nick confronted significant challenges. Not only did he navigate a complete program change amidst his three-year journey, but he also had to overcome the obstacles posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Nick proudly completed the program in 2021. After a year with architectural firms, he joined Pratt Institute as a Fabrication Shop Technician to direct, educate, and assist School of Design students and faculties.

In August 2023, he relocated to Pasadena, CA, with his partner and their beloved dog, Daisy; Nick is working toward building a new design studio in Los Angeles for his new ideas and curiosities. He is actively seeking collaboration opportunities with studios and manufacturers in California to nurture his creative endeavors further from eclectic influences.
